Despite her fame, Doris chose a quiet departure. As per her wishes, there were no public funeral services, memorials, or grave markers. She was cremated, and her ashes were scattered. Her longtime friend and manager, Bob Bashara, shared that Doris avoided discussing death, preferring to focus on life. Her decision to forgo a traditional farewell reflected her humble nature, leaving behind a legacy of compassion and grace.
