SAD NEWS : Country music world praying for Jelly Roll, Bunnie Xo

Jelly Roll and his wife Bunnie Xo are mourning the loss of her father, who died Wednesday after his battle with cancer.

Taste of Country reported he received a Stage IV diagnosis last year and has been in hospice care since November. Despite that, Bunnie announced that he had hip replacement surgery in February and was making some marked improvement.

Bunnie XO posted about his death on Instagram.

“Hey Bill, I’m going to miss you,” she posted. “You are still my favorite rock star & my hero. This one’s going to hurt. Rest easy & don’t’ make too many angels fall in love.”

Jelly Roll has been in the news of late. The 39-year-old Grammy-nominated country singer has lost roughly 70 pounds and recently completed a 5K race in California.

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight at the event, Jelly Roll said he got “really emotional” at the finish line.

“I couldn’t walk a mile when I started trying to do this back in January,” the “Need a Favor” singer said, adding that he feels “really, really good” about finishing the race. “I left here feeling really motivated.” He also revealed to ET he plans to participate in a half marathon next year.
