Actor Doug Sheehan Passes Away at 75

Fans are mourning the loss of General Hospital actor Doug Sheehan, who passed away peacefully at 75 in his Wyoming home, with his wife, Cate Abert, by his side. The cause of death has not been disclosed.

Sheehan, best known for playing Joe Kelly on General Hospital (1979–1982), also starred in Knots Landing as Ben Gibson. His roles spanned over 100 episodes on both shows, earning him a Daytime Emmy nomination.

Tributes poured in from fans, remembering him as a talented, charming actor. He also appeared in Charlie’s AngelsDresden, and other TV series. Sheehan once spoke about Hollywood’s challenges, noting that breaking into the industry required perseverance.
