I Had a Child at 40 to Please My Mother

Delilah never wanted kids, but at 42, she had a daughter to appease her mother, who promised her the family inheritance in return. However, after her mother’s death, Delilah discovered shocking truths.

Her mother’s valuables were missing, and the will left the entire inheritance to Delilah’s daughter, who would gain access at 18. Until then, Delilah could only spend $1,000 a month on her daughter, who was already aware of this arrangement.

Feeling used and betrayed, Delilah now struggles with resentment and a lack of closeness with her daughter, unsure of how to handle the situation or move forward.
