Country singer Sundance Head, known for his appearances on *American Idol* in 2007 and as the winner of *The Voice* in 2016, was recently shot while on his Texas ranch. According to his wife, Misty, Sundance was shot in the stomach and airlifted to a hospital. Thankfully, the bullet missed all vital organs and was lodged in fatty tissue.
His agent, Trey Newman, stated the incident was not self-inflicted, but details remain unclear. Newman mentioned Sundance’s love of hunting on his ranch as a possible context. Misty has asked fans for prayers, expressing hope for his speedy recovery.
