Easy trick to relieve body pain is gaining popularity everywhere

I’m not one to run to the doctor for every ache—I usually assume they’ll pass on their own. But when I read about using clothespins on the ear to relieve mild pain, I was intrigued. It’s based on acupuncture, which links parts of the ear to different areas of the body through nerve connections.

According to reflexologist Helen Chin Lui, the ear contains a reflex map of the body. Applying pressure to specific spots can provide relief:

  1. Top of the ear: Linked to back and shoulders. Pinch this spot for a minute to reduce tension.
  2. Below the top: Associated with internal organs. Mild discomfort may improve with pressure here.
  3. Upper middle: Connected to joints. Try this for stiffness or minor pain.
  4. Lower middle: Linked to sinuses and throat. Useful for colds or sinus discomfort.
  5. Above the earlobe: Associated with digestion. Pinch this spot for nausea or stomach pain.
  6. Earlobe: Connected to the head and heart. Great for relieving headaches.
