King Charles makes his first public appearance since being told he has cancer.

King Charles III made his first public appearance since revealing his cancer diagnosis, shortly after being diagnosed less than 18 months into his reign. He is undergoing treatment and has had to postpone some duties, but he plans to resume them when possible.

The king and Queen Camilla were seen waving at crowds as they traveled from Clarence House to Sandringham in Norfolk. While details of his treatment are private, it’s known he’s receiving care from a skilled medical team. His family, including Princess Beatrice, has visited him in London.

The king’s health challenges, including a prostate condition, were made public in an effort to raise awareness. Though his illness has raised concerns about its impact on the monarchy, he is receiving top medical care and is determined to continue his royal duties, inspired by the passion of his late mother, Queen Elizabeth II.
