Dr. Kelly Powers Dies at 45, Leaves Behind Heartbreaking Legacy

Dr. Kelly Powers, a regular Fox News contributor, passed away on December 1, 2024, at age 45 from glioblastoma, an aggressive brain cancer she was diagnosed with in 2020. She collapsed in her apartment, sustaining severe injuries, and was later diagnosed with the tumor after being found unconscious by her father. Powers underwent brain surgery, chemotherapy, radiation, and immunotherapy during her treatment journey.

Despite her health struggles, she and her husband, Steven Doll, pursued surrogacy, welcoming their son Bennett in March 2021. Powers experienced a period of remission but shared heartbreaking news in February 2024 when her cancer returned. With conventional treatments ineffective, her family sought groundbreaking therapy in Germany, funding it through a GoFundMe campaign that raised $88,009 before her death.

Powers, remembered for her intelligence, kindness, and vibrant life, graduated from St. Bartholomew’s School, Academy of Our Lady of Good Counsel, Baruch College, and the New York College of Podiatric Medicine. She completed her residency at Georgetown and Boston Universities. Friends described her as a passionate, energetic person with a deep love for life. Rachel Dickerson, a lifelong friend, mourned their lost years together, sharing memories of their close bond.

Powers had many interests, including gardening, surfing, ballet, and travel, but her family was always her priority. She is survived by her husband, son, parents, and in-laws.
