Wisconsin Dairy Queen Puts Up ‘Politically Incorrect’ Sign, Owner Stands By His Decision

A sign in the front window of a Dairy Queen in Kewaskum, Wisconsin, has gone viral for its bold message. The sign declares the restaurant’s political incorrectness and emphasizes that it frequently uses greetings like “Merry Christmas,” “Happy Easter,” and “God Bless America.”

It also shows support for the U.S. flag, the armed forces, and offers free sundaes to veterans on Veterans Day.

Kevin Scheunemann, the owner of this Dairy Queen franchise, explained that he put up the sign nearly four years ago to be transparent about his and his staff’s commitment to God and country.

He posted the notice after a customer complained about Christian music being played in the restaurant. Since then, the sign hadn’t caused any issues.

Recently, the sign gained widespread attention after a visitor from Oregon shared a photo of it on Facebook, expressing concerns about its perceived exclusivity. The post quickly went viral before it was taken down.

Opinions on the sign are mixed. Some people agree with its message, while others have criticized the person who shared the image, taking their feelings personally.

Local business owners support Scheunemann’s decision, saying that customers are free to leave if they disagree with the restaurant’s principles.

Locals in the small town of Kewaskum seem to accept the sign without question, believing it reflects the owner’s views. Dairy Queen, as a company, clarified that they do not endorse Scheunemann’s approach and that the sign represents only his personal opinions.

They emphasized that all franchisees and employees should treat every customer with respect and dignity, regardless of their religious beliefs.
