Charley Scalies, Actor Known for Roles in ‘The Wire’ and ‘The Sopranos’, Dies at 84

Charley Scalies, best known for his role as Thomas “Horseface” Pasuka in The Wire, has died at 84. His daughter confirmed he passed away Thursday at a nursing home in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s.

Scalies began acting in the 1990s, appearing in films like Two Bits and 12 Monkeys, and had notable TV roles including The Sopranos, Cold Case, and Law & Order.

Remembered for bringing heart to gritty characters, he is survived by his wife, three children, and many grandchildren.
