Adam Schiff Has Mental Breakdown on Live Television: ‘We Failed’

California Senator-elect Adam Schiff continues to defend his claims of Trump-Russia collusion despite repeated debunking. On CNN’s State of the Union, Jake Tapper questioned Schiff about his past allegations, which led to his 2023 censure by the House for “abusing trust” during his time as House Intelligence Committee chairman.

Schiff insisted there was evidence of collusion, citing Trump’s campaign manager sharing polling data with Russian intelligence. Tapper noted that the Mueller report found no conclusive evidence of conspiracy, but Schiff maintained that lack of proof beyond a reasonable doubt didn’t mean no coordination occurred.

Schiff’s claims were based on the Steele dossier, which has since been discredited, with Special Counsel John Durham accusing a key source of lying to the FBI. Mueller’s 2019 report concluded no proof of collusion, further undermining Schiff’s stance.
