University of Wyoming Community Stunned After 3 Students Are Tragically K*lled

Three University of Wyoming swimming and diving team members—Charlie Clark, 19, Luke Slabber, 21, and Carson Muir, 18—tragically lost their lives in a car crash near the Wyoming-Colorado border. The crash occurred at the intersection of U.S. Highway 287 and Red Mountain Road in Colorado when the driver swerved, causing the vehicle to roll multiple times. The cause of the crash is still under investigation, with speed, impairment, and distractions being considered.

Two other team members sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were released from the hospital. The crash, involving a Toyota RAV4 with five occupants, occurred shortly before 2:45 p.m. The victims were not on official school business at the time.

University of Wyoming President Ed Seidel and Director of Athletics Tom Burman expressed deep sorrow, offering support through counseling services for students and staff. Wyoming Governor Mark Gordon also expressed condolences, urging support for the victims’ families during this difficult time.
