NCIS Star Cote de Pablo Opens Up About Cancer Scare
Cote de Pablo, known for her role as Ziva David on NCIS, shared a deeply personal story about her cancer scare during a 2015 PSA for the CDC promoting cervical cancer screenings.
The 44-year-old actress revealed her family’s struggles with cancer, saying: “The pain our family has gone through… we’ve lost a couple of people.”
Pablo admitted she had neglected her health, leading to alarming Pap test results that initially worried doctors. Fortunately, her follow-up results confirmed she was cancer-free, bringing emotional relief to her and her mother.
“It’s not just about me,” she said. “It’s about those you love.”
She urged women to prioritize their health: “Get your Pap test. You’re not just doing it for you, but for your loved ones too.”
