When the UPS man finds out why the cars are parked all the way down the road, he breaks down in tears.

Everybody has been impacted by the ᴄᴏᴠɪᴅ- ᴘᴀɴᴅᴇᴍɪᴄ in some manner. We can never forget how terrible the last several years have been for the majority of us, even if we think those difficult days are behind us. Many people lost their jobs and ended up on the streets as a result of the forced closure of numerous businesses.

Additionally, the inhabitants of Virginia Township owe a debt of appreciation to the UPS driver who regularly guaranteed that their deliveries were made during the pandemic, despite our collective admiration of the medical experts for their great efforts in the battle against the virus. Things would happen at the right moment if they stayed at home and took precautions.

The employees of UPS, FedEx, and USPS contributed to maintaining the US economy, even though few acknowledged their sacrifices and hard labor during the worst days for humanity.

Anthony Gaskin, a UPS carrier, noticed something odd while out on a typical route. There were numerous cars lining the road. Until he saw the two youngsters holding placards that said “Hallsley Loves You Anthony” he didn’t know what was going on. As the throng clapped and waved, Antony realized that they were doing this particularly for him.

These individuals believed Anthony ought to be acknowledged for all of the help he provided them with throughout the epidemic.

Patty Friedman subsequently sent an email to WTVR saying, “Anthony Gaskins is considered a hero in the Hallsley neighborhood, even though his truck does not have sirens and his uniform does not offer extra fire protection.” Anthony has kept up his work through COVID, delivering a record-breaking 180 packages to our doors so far.

She said, “I wanted to personally thank him for all of his assistance in making me feel welcome when I moved in during a pandemic.” “He was the highlight of my day every day, and it was terribly lonely.”

Needles to say, Anthony was plainly moved to tears and appreciative for the gesture of appreciation.

“Hundreds of Hallsley residents lined the road and waited for Anthony to turn the corner, arriving on bikes, on foot, and in more than 75 cars,” Patty said to WTVR. A modest guy who need encouragement finally drove his truck slowly down the street while kids and people rang bells, waved placards, and yelled his name. Even Gaskins’ managers went up to give him a gift.

We think this was a merited gesture, considering all Anthony and his colleagues do for their communities.
