Barbra Streisand: A Powerful Voice for Democracy

Barbra Streisand: Speaking Out for Democracy at 81

At 81, Barbra Streisand remains outspoken about threats to democracy, targeting former President Donald Trump. A longtime Democratic supporter, she has labeled Trump “ill-informed” and “the Liar in Chief.” Recently, she told Stephen Colbert, “I can’t live in this country if he becomes president.”

In 2018, Streisand channeled her frustration into her album Walls, which critiques Trump’s leadership, emphasizing her belief that artists challenge societal lies and tyranny. Despite her earlier vow to leave the U.S. after Trump’s 2016 win, she, like many celebrities, stayed to advocate for change.

Streisand finds hope in President Joe Biden but remains deeply concerned about a potential Trump return. She envisions an America restored to truth and decency, calling for unity and progress.
