A Story About How Rich People Really Live

Some people will do anything to look rich. They talk about money they don’t have, show off their brand-name clothes (which are often fake), and post lots of photos of their “fancy” lifestyle on social media. They spend money impulsively and always compare themselves to others.

The Story:

I have a very rich friend who always had a few girlfriends at the same time. He gave each of them expensive gifts, spent time with them one by one, and felt great. He told me a story.

One of his girlfriends had a birthday, and he gave her his credit card, saying, “Buy whatever you want.” He then said, “This silly girl bought a book and a juicer and gave me the card back.” At that moment, he realized she was special. But she left him when she found out about his other girlfriends.
