The emotional toll on the family was highlighted by Pheobe’s family, particularly her mother Kylie Johnson, who expressed intense distress over her absence. Pheobe alluded to family strife and a wish to permanently leave home in her last TikTok post.
According to witnesses, Pheobe struggled in the weeks prior to her disappearance, frequently showing signs of hunger and financial hardship. Guns were discovered in the confiscated Hyundai, and her roommate Tanika Kristan Bromley was arrested on unrelated weapons-related charges. James Wood, another roommate, has been questioned but is not under suspicion. In order to help bring Pheobe home safely, police are still looking into leads and are requesting information from the public.
