Linda Inherits Grandma’s Old Clocks & Greedy Brother Gets House, Turns Out She Got Almost $200K – Story of the Day

A greedy brother inherits a house and mocks his younger sister, who only gets five rusty old clocks from their late grandmother. Little did they know what was hidden inside.

Brian and Linda visit their ailing grandmother, Marlene. While Linda is caring and selfless, Brian is dismissive and greedy. Before passing, Marlene gives each of them $5,000. Linda uses her savings to renovate Marlene’s house, fulfilling her wish before she peacefully passes away.

After the funeral, the lawyer reveals Marlene’s will—Brian gets the house, and Linda receives a box of five old clocks. Brian laughs at her misfortune, believing he got the better deal.

Back in the city, Linda discovers a note inside one of the clocks. They are rare, antique timepieces worth $40,000 each. Marlene’s message reassures Linda: “Everyone gets what they truly deserve.”

Linda, knowing her brother is blinded by greed, keeps the truth to herself. She smiles, realizing her grandmother’s love and wisdom ensured she got the true treasure.

Lesson: True worth isn’t always obvious. Kindness and patience are rewarded in ways greed can never comprehend.
